Spots or Fading on Carpet or Wood Flooring
Acceptable Performance/Condition Carpet or wood flooring shall be free from spots and faded areas. Warranty One-Year Work and Materials Spots or faded areas in carpet or wood flooring resulting from normal wear and tear or improper maintenance are excluded from the warranty. Exposure to sunlight may cause spots on carpet or wood flooring and/or fading. No builder responsibility. Action Spotted or faded carpet or wood flooring recorded on the Certificate of Possession Form will be repaired. If not noted on the Certificate of Possession Form, the homeowner must establish that the damage was caused by the builder. Remarks Identify any damaged carpeting or wood flooring at the walk-through to avoid any dispute about whether the damage was caused by the builder. Repaired area may be visible as a result of variable lighting conditions or different material dye lot. Area rugs may cause a reaction to the underlying floor, or variance in fading from sunlight. |
