Asphalt Shingle Edges are Curled or Cupped
Acceptable Performance/Condition Asphalt shingle edges and corners need not be completely flat. Edges and corners that curl or cup to expose the uncoloured portion of the shingle below are not acceptable. Warranty One-Year Work and Materials Damage resulting from normal wear and tear is not covered by the warranty. Action Shingles not meeting the acceptable condition shall be repaired. Remarks Adequate attic ventilation is necessary to prevent excessive solar heat buildup in the attic that can contribute to curling and cupping. |
